Chlorinated paraffin-70 is a widely used chemical fine product. It has stable physical and chemical properties. This paper mainly introduces the characteristics, reaction mechanism, production method and current situation of chlorinated paraffin-70, and analyzes the problems in production quality, process and application of chlorinated paraffin-70. The development trend of chlorinated paraffin-70 is pointed out, that is, the production purity is higher, the thermal stability is higher, the chlorination content is higher, the cost is lower, the use is wider, the production process is pollution-free, continuous and large-scale. Finally, some suggestions on the development of chlorinated paraffin-70 are put forward.
